Dundee Creative Well-Being
Our Dundee Creative Well-Being Programme offers safe, culturally-respectful opportunities for women to learn, create and build social connections.
We run a weekly drop-in session on Tuesdays at the ScrapAntics Community Space in the Wellgate Centre.
Each session is built around a facilitated creative activity or information-sharing session. We work with a range of partner organisations to deliver a variety of activities that build confidence, reduce social isolation, and support women’s physical and mental well-being.
Our programme runs through 4 interconnected strands:
- Health and Well-Being
- Creative Arts
- Active Living
- Culture & Community
All activities are led by women and centred around the specific needs of the women we support. Our regular clients come from all backgrounds, and enjoy learning and growing in the safe space we have created for them.
We encourage peer-learning and skill sharing wherever possible, and always work with the women to ensure our activities are interesting, relevant and enjoyable for them.
“I feel mentally positive every time I go to an Amina session. I get to learn new skills, relax, and speak to different women from diverse cultures I would not meet otherwise.”

Muslim and BME women find themselves isolated from society due to issues relating to personal circumstances, lack of confidence, and poor mental health. There is a need to dispel the stigma around these issues and provide services that are more faith and culturally-sensitive.
