Dundee Creative Well-Being Arts and Culture
Our Creative Well-Being programme has developed activities and workshops around four strands that support mental health and well-being. All workshops and group activities are led by women and centred around their distinct needs. Our regular clients come from all backgrounds, and enjoy learning and growing in the safe space we have created for them.

Arts and Culture

Theatre Trips
Our women have gone on various theatre trips, including Stella Quines' invitation to see their play Sister Radio by Sara Shaarawi at Perth Theatre, and Lubna Kerr's Chatterbox at Dundee Rep Theatre.

Literary Sessions
In partnership with National Literacy Trust's Read Dundee, we delivered storytelling sessions showcasing the importance of communicating and sharing stories with children to build their confidence and communication skills.

Dundee Tapestry
With Dundee Tapestry and stitchers across the city, our group worked on a Dundee-wide tapestry project. The women attended the tapestry's launch at the V&A Dundee in January 2024 to enjoy the completed display of panels telling Dundee's unique story.

Rhyme Time
We deliver rhyme time sessions for mothers and children with an experienced retired Scottish teacher of 33 years and a dedicated volunteer.

Printing Sessions
In Partnership with Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA), 8 service users participated in a 7-week programme, learning a range of print techniques from professional artists. Their completed work was displayed at the DCA.

Plastic: Remaking Our World
In partnership with V&A Dundee, our women attended an exhibition tour exploring the origins of plastic, our historic relationship with it and how that might change in the future.
