Employability 1

Employability and Adult Learning

Our Employability and Adult Education project supports, empowers, and aims to build the confidence of Muslim and BME women in Scotland through offering one to one support, workshops and access to community courses.

Our project provides tailored support in helping our clients work towards their employability ambitions in searching for work, learning, or volunteering opportunities.

We help our clients by offering them a holistic and culturally sensitive space where they can discuss their employability goals with confidence. We do this in the following ways

  • support in identifying skills and interests
  • building CV
  • help with looking for jobs, volunteering and learning opportunities
  • preparing for interviews and much more!
  • partnership working with external agencies to offer community courses that aim to capacity build and upskill our clients

We are currently at full capacity helping clients with their employability goals, so our online registration form is temporarily closed.

When we are taking on new clients, we will open our online form and will let you know via Amina’s social media.

We are delighted to be part of GEMS (Glasgow Ethnic Minority Support) led by the Bridges Programme.  GEMS has received funding through Glasgow City Council on behalf of Glasgow Local Employability Partnership (LEP).

We are working along with a consortium of 5 fellow community-based organisations – Bridges Programme, Glasgow Clyde College, Community Renewal Trust, Cranhill Development Trust, and Govanhill Community Development Trust (part of Govanhill Housing Association) – to support Glasgow’s Ethnic Minority Communities in seeking employability.  Together we are responsible for delivering employability for ethnic minority people in Glasgow from April 2024 to March 2026.

In the meantime, if you require employability support you may wish to contact other organisations in Scotland who also offer help.
