Kaukab Stewart 

Kaukab Stewart MSP is Scotland’s Minister for Equalities and the first woman of colour to be elected to the Scottish Parliament. A leading advocate for anti-racism and the empowerment of Muslim and minority ethnic women, she is committed to building a more inclusive Scotland where diverse voices are represented at every level.

Mariam Ahmed

Mariam Ahmed is the CEO of Amina – The Muslim Women’s Resource Centre, a leading organisation championing the rights, wellbeing and leadership of Muslim and minority ethnic women in Scotland. She is a committed advocate for anti-racism, gender equality and social justice, working to ensure Muslim women’s voices are represented, valued and heard at all levels of society.

Zara Mohammed

Zara Mohammed is the former Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) and the first woman to hold the role. A leading advocate for Muslim women’s representation and anti-racism, she has championed inclusive leadership, challenged harmful narratives, and worked to create equitable spaces for Muslim women across the UK.

Zamard Zahid

Zamard Zahid is an anti-racist campaigner and activist, committed to championing the rights and representation of Muslim and minority ethnic women in Scotland. Her work focuses on challenging systemic inequalities, amplifying marginalised voices and driving forward meaningful change within communities and public spaces.

Linsay Taylor

Linsay Taylor is the CEO of MEND – Muslim Engagement and Development. She has held multiple board positions, including Chair of Interfaith Scotland and Board Member of the Muslim Council of Scotland.
