All Day

Event Type

Take part in Glasgow’s Kiltwalk for Amina Muslim Women’s Resource Centre! Get active in raising funds in support of Muslim and BME women across Scotland.

What is it?

Kiltwalk is Scotland’s largest mass participation walking event. The Kiltwalk community has raised millions for charities since it was founded in 2016.

There are 3 distances you can walk: 4 miles, 13 miles or 23 miles.  They all end at Balloch, Loch Lomond.

When is it?

Sunday, 30th April 2023 with various start times and locations depending on which you choose to walk.

How do I sign up?

Sign up on the Kiltwalk website: https://rb.gy/nxqlvw

The registration fee of £20 means that you can get snacks and refreshments on the walk, a meal at the end, and transport back to Glasgow.

What support is there from Amina?

  • Amina will refund your £20 registration fee after the event if you can commit to raising at least £100 for us!
  • Amina will give an Amina t-shirt to the first 40 supporters that sign up to walk and raise funds for us

How do I fundraise?

Every single penny, every pound you raise goes straight to Amina MWRC plus all eligible Gift Aid (up to 25% extra).

All of this is possible thanks to The Hunter Foundation and Kiltwalk sponsors.

Once you’ve signed up for an event and selected a charity, the recommended online fundraising platform, JustGiving, automatically creates a Kiltwalk online fundraising page for you. Simply share the link with friends and family, ask them to donate and you’re off to a flying start! If you didn’t spot it during Kiltwalk registration, check your email inbox for an activation link that will have been sent to you.

At the fundraising deadline for your event (two months after your event) your fundraising will be collected automatically and sent onwards to Amina. It’s as simple as that!

Where do the funds go?

All the funds that are raised by you will go towards the vital services and activities that Amina delivers such as:

  • Women’s Friendship Group
  • Employability workshops
  • Financial support for those in crisis

and all the other services we provide and offer.
