Adding Value: Maths Course for Beginners
Glasgow Science Centre is hosting a free Adding Value: Maths Course for Amina MWRC’s clients, funded by the UK Government.
Each week, attendees will learn about different topics through presentation, games, hands-on activities, and worksheets in a friendly and casual environment. If learners are able to complete the worksheets, they will achieve 3 credit points at SCQF Level 3. The class is intended for beginners and people who would like to grow their confidence in basic maths skills.
The 8-week course will cover the following topics:
- Addition and Subtraction
- Multiplication and Division
- Shapes and Measurements
- Fractions, Decimals and Percentages
- Collecting and Presenting Data.
Additional Information:
- Transport to the venue and back will be provided from Amina office in Pollokshields each week.
- Free Lunch is included
- Language support is provided upon request.
