The Parliament Project is taking over the Scottish government building on Saturday 7th September!
The London-based organisation is coming up North to get women from all backgrounds and walks of life to take over the Parliament for the day. There will be workshops, stalls and opportunities to see how we are represented in this country.
We’ll be arranging free transport for 10 women on the day so sign up to travel with Amina and take advantage of this amazing opportunity to discover how politics could work for you.
In addition to the other workshops throughout the day, Amina will be running a workshop from 2.30 – 3.30 where we will be discussing the barriers to running for office for women from different backgrounds. Councillor for Southside Central, Bailie Soriya Siddique, will be joining us to share her experience and answer any questions about the process. We encourage women from minority ethnic faith and religious backgrounds to attend.
The day starts at 10 so it’s likely that we will leave Glasgow just after 9am, we aim to return before 5pm. Further details of pick up and drop off will be given nearer the time.
Please email us to confirm your place on our transport to the Scottish Parliament. Attendance will operate on a first come first serve basis.More Info
