My Big Beating Voice: Art, Suffrage and the Politics of being a Girl of Colour
Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre and Amina – Muslim Women’s Resource Centre would like to invite you to the launch of ‘My Big Beating Voice’: a multi-media exhibition, showcasing the voices and views of young Minority Ethnic and/or Muslim women and girls, in response to the centenary of some women first gaining the right to vote in the UK.
The event will feature reflections from the project, light refreshments, and the opportunity to explore the immersive exhibition. ‘My Big Beating Voice’ is funded by The Spirit of Women Changemakers Grant from Spirit of 2012 and the Fawcett Society, and you can read more about the project via our website.
